Well I have been laughing at how September seems to be giving us even nicer days than many we had this summer … and I am loving it.  We got a beautiful one last week … when I got to photograph this sweetie with her mom and dad … it was like summer out there!  A beautiful day and a beautiful family what more could you ask for?  Here are a few sneak peeks from this cutie’s session …

Yes, its that time again … I have been so lucky and been able to work with so many newborns lately.  And all have been such good models and let me get my fill of snuggles … hey mom gets a rest and I get to snuggle a newborn … its a win win situation LOL.  Well this little man was no exception, such a sweetheart and such a good sport with me moving him all around.  Congrats again mom and dad … here are you sneak peeks!!

But in terms of getting prepared … the holidays are fast approaching.  And no, I am not talking about Thanksgiving LOL … yes its that holiday time at the end of the year, when we are decked out in parkas and mittens .  I know we don’t even want to think it but it will be upon us before we know it (have I mentioned that I hate winter?? LOL) and in terms of securing your session date that will guarantee holiday delivery the time is now to book.  Weekend sessions are booking into mid October and mid November will be the cut off for orders to be placed to ensure your holiday cards are delivered to you on time … with print deadlines not being far behind that.

With all newborn sessions I tell the parents that I have no set plan … its one of those sessions where you really must just follow the little one’s lead LOL.  The best moments though are when you get a little one fast asleep and all snuggled up for those sleeping baby images that just warm your heart.  This beautiful baby girl made my job easy when it came to being all snuggled up … she was the perfect model!!!

Sneak peeks for mom and dad ….

Well if you read along here with me, you know the soft spot I have for newborns .  I am always working to capture the most precious moments with them that will tell a story for years to come … and one of my favorite things to do is really illustrate perspective.  We all know that newborns are, well, tiny … compared to the little munchkins they will grow to be … and I love to capture an image that shows how truly tiny they once were.  So it only seemed fitting to show just how small this little man was in comparison to his daddy’s hands …
