That moment …
For me the decision to invest in custom portaiture is about wanting to preserve beautiful memories … so they are there to hold on to for years to come. In every session there are these moments that you just know are perfect, and so very priceless … capturing an awesome belly laugh, a sweet hug between siblings, or a shared moment between parent and child … or for me in this session, a newborn smile! To me there is something so magical when I am lucky enough to capture one of these newborn grins … its like that beautiful little one is laughing at some silly little secret of theirs that they just aren’t sharing or having the most entertaining dream. Either way I was over the moon that we caught this sweetie as she shared a grin with me …

and some tiny toes … just cause I love them!!!

A day to play …
Well I have been absent here for a bit … but the summer has just been so incredibly busy!! But with a small window of down time i thought I would pop in to share a few recent sessions ….
I always enjoy meeting new families and just had a blast with these wonderful folks … the kids kept me laughing with requests to play freeze tag or to take silly pictures
. As you can see its always a fun time for me!
Just a few peeks …

Soon :)
I love getting to meet couples in the weeks before they get to meet their new little ones … so much excitment and anticipation … wondering if they’re having a boy or a girl … simply magical! This couple was no exception … and I am counting down the days til their tiny bundle arrives and I get to photograph him or her

Its the little things …
Its always been a big belief of mine that it is truly the little things in life that matter the most. For me it can be a smile from my baby boy (and boy is he a smiley man) or hearing an “I love you mama” from my big guy (my heart melts everytime) … but its those little moments that make us stop and realize what really matters in life.
And I take this thinking with me to each and every session I do … I always strive to capture that special connection or that little fleeting smile … so that that little moment in time can be remembered always. With newborns so much of that is simply capturing a brand new baby in all his or her newness (I think i am making that word up LOL) … since they can and grow so quickly in those first days and weeks. But I always love to focus in on the small details of these little creatures … tiny feet, chubby rolls or in this case two beautiful, teeny hands
.
Here are a couple peeks for mom and dad … enjoy!

Family Ties
I have mentioned time and time again how much I enjoy family sessions …. especially getting to capture that unique interaction that occurs during them. This session in particular was so much fun … with it being an extended family session there were so many wonderful combinations of family members and loving interactions to capture it was a real treat!
Hope you all enjoy just a taste of whats to come!
