I always have folks wondering what is a good time for an outdoor session so I thought I would let you all know about some of my favorite times of day to shoot outdoors.  Of course when and what time depends on alot of factors … but during the summer my general rule of thumb is early morning or late afternoon.  These times tend to work nicely around little ones nap times so that often works well.  But with weekend sessions booking quickly and folks often working during the week I wanted to talk about a wonderful option that many forget about … that is right around 6pm.  Now for some little ones that might be too late but if it works for your family its a wonderful time of day for pictures … there is still a wonderful amount of light to work with, not to mention that the light at that time of day is just stunning in photographs.  So if you are struggling to find that perfect time of day 6pm might just be your answer!

Sessions for the summer of 2007 are booking quickly, so if you are interested in a session please be sure to call and book ahead so you aren’t disappointed.

Also folks are already starting to inquire about holiday/Christmas cards for this year!!  I will once again have many designs, with various styles available for purchase this year after a minimum print order is met.  It may seem very early but with my maternity leave starting in October time is limited.  Family sessions will not be booked beyond the end of September as I just know I will not be able to run after little ones with ease by the time October rolls around, lol.  October will be reserved for maternity, newborn and infant sessions (under 6 months of age).  I have already begun accepting bookings for both September and October so feel free to book ahead and not have to worry about missing out on a session this year.

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweetie pie last week just shortly after her first birthday.  She was so full of energy and always ready to give us some laughs and squeels.  Again another session that was a combo of home and outdoor … such a nice way to add variety to a session!!

With the nice warm weather upon us outdoor sessions are becoming a fast favorite of clients for sessions right now!!  This family was no exception … we all got to enjoy the beautiful weather and the kiddos got in some fun outdoor playtime.  This family was in town from the west coast to visit family and I was so honoured to be included as part of their vacation plans!!  Hope you guys have a wonderful visit!!

I just adore it when, even in a newborn shoot, a little ones show off their little personality.  This little guy was such a sweetie and kept striking the "thinker" pose, too funny.  Here are a couple sneak peeks for mom and dad …. the rest will be out to you later next week!

Yes folks, you guessed it ~ things at Meghan Liddle Photography are going to get interesting this year with the addition of baby #2 at the end of the year!!  If you have had a session with me recently I bet you have been wondering (hiding that baby bump with your second is not the easiest task, lol), so I thought I would break the good news to everyone!

So what does all this mean for business at Meghan Liddle Photography??  Well, sessions will run as normal through the duration of the summer and early fall, so no huge changes there.  But the holiday season will definitely be cut short this year with all sessions wrapping up mid-October.  This will allow me enough time to edit sessions, get galleries out to clients and ensure all prints are delivered before our little one arrives.  So all that means is if you were hoping to do a session for holiday pictures or have holiday cards done you just have to be sure to book early this year!!  Sessions are booking quickly so be sure to call ahead so you won’t be disappointed (this is one deadline I just can’t extend, lol).
