Spring has sprung??
Well I for one hope this weather is here to stay … I have been so in love with the gorgeous weather we have had this weekend! Everyone suddenly emerges from their homes, neighbours get reacquainted after a long winter and sandals are back (woohoo!!!). This time of year definitely prompts folks to think about doing their sessions outdoors, and with it looking so beautiful I can’t say I blame them :).
Here is just a little about how outdoor sessions work at Meghan Liddle Photography. Sessions can now be booked earlier in the morning and later into the afternoon, since our daylight hours are increasing (us natural light photographers love this time of year!). In fact, for late spring and summer sessions you will find that when calling to book an outdoor session I will usually recommend booking either first thing in the morning or leaving it until around 4pm … the reason for this is midday will start to get hot, which does not make for a fun session … everyone gets hots ~ including me ~ and we all fall into permanent squint mode with the full overhead sun ~ not a pretty look for your keepsake photos! If you want a session at a different time, its not impossible as we can look at working in locations with more shade to make sure its a fun experience for you all. If you are looking to do an outdoor session but simply can’t think of where you would like to have it feel free to drop me a line … I have many locations that I use and we can always look at finding new locations to suit your style!
And just because its beautiful out it doesn’t mean indoor sessions are out the door … in fact many families enjoy doing a bit of a combo session in their home and outdoors as well. Remember its all about having a session and final images that reflect who you are!
Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather!!

Words to live by …
There are times when I read a quote in a book or hear one in a movie that really hits home with me. This was the case with this Robert Brault quote I stumbled upon the other day. This one really gets to the heart of how I try to live each moment of my life and cherish every little moment with my family and friends, and it also relates perfectly to why I do what I do for a living.
"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things." ~ Robert Brault.
I like to remember it on those days where things feel so rushed and busy … it makes me stop, even for just a moment, and drink in the little things.

Great expectations …
I just adore all the anticipation that comes with a maternity session, so many wonderful hopes while the family waits for their newest addition. For this adorable family the new addition is baby #2 and the little one is super blessed to have the most adorable big brother waiting to meet him or her!!
Here is just a little sneak peek from the session …
Keep your eyes out for more maternity sessions coming later this month!!
